The world-class Resilience Engineering Chair was created in 2006 with the support of the following institutions: ALLIANZ, APAVE, GDF SUEZ, INERIS, SNCF, TOTAL and the MINES ParisTech foundation. Since 2012 (and for 5 years) it has been supported by AFNOR, GDF SUEZ, SNCF, TOTAL and the MINES ParisTech foundation.
The holder of the Chair is Professor Christophe Martin.

Since its creation, the Chair has been linked to the Resilience Engineering Association (REA). This international, non-profit association was created by CRC in 2011.
Since 2012 the Chair has played in key role in the international Resilience Engineering network known as the Dean's Forum, which brings together the following engineering schools and universities: MIT, The University of Berkeley, Imperial College London, The Stockholm Royal Institute of Technologies, The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, the Tokyo university and the French Groupe des grandes écoles represented by MINES ParisTech and CRC.
